Youth intern receiving on-the-job training at Ashbury Images.
New Door Ventures owns and operates social enterprises that serve as job-training centers for at-risk youth. Each social enterprise offers six-month paid internships that teach job-specific skills.
At Ashbury Images, our apparel printing business, youth interns learn screen-printing operations, shipping and receiving, and other manufacturing tasks.
At Pedal Revolution, our bicycle shop, youth interns learn bike assembly and repair, inventory tracking, retail sales
At both enterprises, youth interns learn important workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, accountability and conflict management. They also receive personalized one-on-one support from case managers who work with them in responding to workplace issues and their pursuit of broader life goals.
Ally is an internship program for at-risk youth (17-21) who have little work experience and are seeking part-time employment and job training.
Ally interns are placed in a 3-month paid internship in a local organization or business. Mentors employed by the sponsoring organization supervise the youth interns.
Ally interns meet weekly as a group for a time of discussion of workplace issues, work-readiness training, peer learning and support. If you are a youth interested in applying for our Ally internship program, please fill out our application.
